With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?

I was on top of running my music career. The pandemic has not stopped me from moving forward. My studio is in full function, rehearsing with my band hasn’t stopped, merchandise is selling both in person and online, I am in the studio finishing up my next 4 releases for a total of 7 released in 2021, I am writing for my first album release in 2022 and booking my Canadian Tour summer of 2022. Things don't stop and I keep moving forward. Music is full time. I'm the captain of my ship.

How has that affected your plans for the coming year? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?

Plans have not been effected other than the 2020/2021 shows that were booked, but it allowed for the development of my album release in 2022, my Canadian Tour for summer of 2022 and the creation process. It's on fire. I'm on fire. My music is on fire!

What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home? How are you supporting your mental health through all of this?

It may be different for some, having all this time, but I'm an artist. When do you get free time, regardless of pandemic. My mental health has never been better as I create my outcome. I'm in charge of my future. For what most see as no opportunities right now, I have managed to move a head and keep the momentum strong. Nothing has changed. In fact, I'm more effective as a leader now than I was before COVID.

How are dealing with the Covid third wave?

More time to create. Again I'm not stopping for anything. Following rules to stay in and wearing masks is what we have to do. But government and Health Services have yet to tell me I can't write music. Being creative is key. Artists are lucky, if they want to be. Support is key, Eric Alper my publicist sent me these opportunities and my manager CJ Allen has been helping me move things along. Your team is key!

Favourite Starlite Room Moment?

Well, that moment has yet to come. It will be the day I'm with my band and rocking the Starlite Room with my grand piano and all the best original music since Elton John and Billy Joel! Looking forward to that day (it will be a memory for all and it will be electrifying)

Do you have a message for everyone at home reading this?

Know that you are unstoppable. You are unmessable. You are in charge of who you are and your outcome. Be strong and remember, creativity is healthy. Leaving something behind so the world remembers who you are. Art is the only thing that's truly acceptable.
